Africussion International is a multicultural performing arts group of companies based in New York. The name Africussion is a blend of the words Africa, Percussion and Discussion. Africussion brings communities together through African and African inspired music and dance in a relevant artistic conversation. Africussion International has various components. They include a Percussion Ensemble, a Jazz ensemble and a Dance company . The group is available for performances and workshops in Schools, Corporations, Charities, Colleges, Festivals and at other Community Events. Africussion has performed at the UN; Lincoln Center-NYC; St. Mark's Church-NYC; LIRR Headquarters-NY; Restoration Plaza,Bronx Week festival-NYC; Nation House-Washington DC; and at the International African Arts Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
